- Antigravity Incubered by Insta360
- A World’s First 360 Drone with ‘Immersive Flight’ is set for August launch
- It shoots 8K video and weighs less than 250 g
Insta360 and DJI enter each other’s worlds this week, with Insta360 today revealing the Antigravity-a 360-degree drone project year in Making and DJI, which was set to launch its first 360 camera on July 31. Fit me popcorn.
Antravity’s philosophy is simple: 360 immersive flight with the world’s first 360 drone. And the project has one leg up as it is incubated by Insta360 – the world’s leading 360 camera manufacturer.
Details are thin on the ground; We know that the upcoming drone will introduce ‘More World Founds in Dronesign’ that it is set for an August launch; That it shoots 8K video; And that it will weigh less than 250 g, making it available to both beginners and expert pilots.
If the first 360 drone is effectively a flying insta360 x5, we are in a treat, especially with the dynamic videos that could be created using 360-degree recordings, in addition to the new kind of flying experience.
Antravity’s two-page press release is filled with high promises. “Incubated by Insta360 in collaboration with third parties, Antigravity develops powerful 360 drones that are immersive, creating and easy for anyone to fly-what is either catching family moments, weekend adventures or creative projects,” the press release reads.
“Its mission is to make drone -flying more inclusive, expressive and fun. By combining 360 capture with intuitive control systems, Antigravity is pioneering for a new category of air exploration and storytelling.”
Leaked prototype
Antigravity’s press release centers on its fire vision with a little using product info. However, we apparently got a first glimpse of the upcoming drone in a leaked video shared by the Insta360 Tipster @quadro_News on X (formerly Twitter).
We do not yet know the name of the new drone, which is “set to revolutionize the industry”, but the 360 drone prototype seems to have double cameras for complete 360-degree coverage-the one standing directly up, the other directly down.
There are also double sensors on the front of the drone, which is presumably for object feeling – it is a practical flight safety function.

We do not yet know if or how the upcoming 360 drone will shoot 360 footage without drivers in the shot, nor how the drone will be controlled beyond what Antravity calls “intuitive control systems” – it can mean one or the whole mobile app, remote control or headset.
A great view will be crucial to the whole experience and look at the high design that we have seen in prototypes, it can allow for it. Still, everyone will be revealed in the coming weeks as the new anti -grave drone will be revealed in August.
It’s definitely a completely different kind of drone for what you find in DJI’s portfolio, and potentially one of the biggest shakes on the drone market for years. I expect to combine 360 camera and drone worlds in a single product makes total sense if performed effectively.
Antigravity wants to “own” the 360 drone space. If its first product is a success, I would expect a ticking clock on that ownership – especially with DJI’s Track Record, and how it is about to enter the 360 kama space.
