The United Kingdom’s revenue and Customs (HMRC) have officially ended the bankruptcy proceedings in Hasan Nawaz Sharif, son of PML-N president and former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, reported Express News.
According to the government’s posts, Hasan Nawaz’s bankruptcy was printed on April 29, 2025, which made him legally entitled to resume business activities and act as business director.
The bankruptcy, which came from a tax conflict of £ 10 million, lasted a year and was part of a civil case.
HMRC confirmed that Hasan Nawaz had not engaged in any illegal activity and that he fulfilled all legal obligations throughout the process.
Two months before, Hasan had voluntarily declared bankruptcy after HMRC issued a tax approach to the period 2015–2016, which he contested as time games.
He maintained that he had already paid applicable taxes and that the renewed claim was unjustified.
The British government documents state that there was no evidence of non -compliance, obstacle or wrongdoing during the case.
With the end of the case, all business restrictions on Hasan Nawaz have been lifted and there are no criminal or civilian charges.
The British Gazette had previously stated Hasan’s bankruptcy details, but the authorities have now closed the case, confirming that there was no corruption or incorrect management results.
The case, noticed officials, were handled within legal limits and has no bearing on his ability to do business in the UK in the future.
