HDAP warns of life -saving medical equipment deficiency

Hospitals and laboratories face a serious lack of important medical devices. DRAP has disconnected the expansion for registration of imported medical devices, which prevents importers from bringing in new equipment.

According to Muhammad Umar, a basic member of the Healthcare Devices Association of Pakistan (HDAP), 90% of medical devices are imported. Due to the complex registration process that has not been completed on time, a major crisis could occur.

Muhammad Umar declared that Drap has completed the expansion for registration of imported medical devices. As a result, hospitals, laboratories and health centers risk experiencing a serious lack of life -saving medical devices.

Drap has introduced a ban on imports, which can lead to a critical lack of medical supplies ranging from spraying to large testers in hospitals.

Muhammad Umar described this as a national health crisis.
