- Andor Season 2 will go deeper into Mon Mothma and well Sartha’s family relationship
- Genevieve O’Reilly and Faye Marsay say Luthen Rael will play a “important” role in how it plays out
- Man and were well revealed to be cousins in Andor’s first season
Genevieve O’Reilly and Faye Marsay have lifted the lid on the “important” role of Luthen Rael in the development of their characters’ dynamics in Andor Season 2.
In a speech with Techradar ahead of Disney+ Show’s return, O’Reilly and Marsay suggested that Mon Mothma and well Sartha’s relationship will be explored more detailed this season. However, their kinship will be subject to Luthen, also known as the beginning of the beginning Rebel Alliance.
In fact, even though it is that it is a lot of care for each other, their relationship will always be considered the second best-in Luthen’s mind, nevertheless-in the struggle to overthrow the galactic empire.
And with Rebellion’s Puppet Master “holds a lot of cards” in terms of orchestrating the role of any rebellion in the Star Wars TV series, will probably find themselves drawn in different directions throughout the last season’s 12-episode driving.
“From the perspective of the well, the relationship [she shares with Mon] Is not difficult, “Marsay told me.” These are the circumstances surrounding what are tough.
“Well is on the front line, but maybe – while she is still a prominent figure in the rebellion, she is – who works in the background. It puts their relationship in an interesting position because the love they have for each other is there, but one of them acts from the shadows while the other is very much a ‘start on earth’ fighter.”
Luthen becomes an integrated person within this family structure
Genevieve O’Reilly, Andor season 2 actor
“We have an amazing wire in Luthen,” added O’Reilly of Luthen’s influence on the relationship of the couple in Andor‘s second rate. “He is a really important part of this triangle. You understand his machinations, but you are also quite bloated with how he keeps these family members apart.
“There is a scene in Season 2 that we filmed in Valencia,” continues O’Reilly. “It’s a party scene where Luthen is crossing trails again, and I ask him ‘how is my cousin? I haven’t heard from her’. There is a concern there that maybe something has happened to be, but that Luthen is Luthen, he does not reveal anything. Then he becomes an integrated person within this family structure and he has a lot of the cards that hold all on their toes.”
