ISLAMABAD:
The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has fixed an appeal against the acquittal of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf founder Imran Khan and his wife Bushra Bibi in the ‘Iddat Nikkah’ case on Monday.
Newly appointed IHC judge Azam Khan will hear the appeal of Bushra Bibi’s ex-husband Khawar Manika. Manika had challenged the judgment announced by the Extra Sessions Judge on July 13, 2024.
The District and Sessions Court had acquitted Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi by accepting their appeal against the sentence announced by Civil Judge Qudratullah, who had sentenced the couple to seven years each.
