A severe heat wave has grabbed Sindh, with temperatures expected to rise significantly above normal, causing the meteorological department to issue a heat wave alarm.
As of today, due to atmospheric pressure, rural areas of Sindh, including Dadu, Shaheed Benazirabad, Jacobabad, Larkana, Badin, Tharparkar, Umerkot and Hyderabad, are probably experiencing temperatures 6 to 8 degrees higher than seasonal average.
The heat wave is expected to continue until April 18. In Karachi, strong winds are expected to blow on Sunday and Monday, when the temperature today reaches a maximum of 38.9 ° C and humidity levels at 42%. Due to high humidity, the heat index has made the conditions feel like 42 ° C. In the rural areas of Sindh, the temperatures in Dadu and Hyderabad airports were recorded at 43 ° C.
Residents of the affected areas have been asked to avoid unnecessary travel and take the necessary precautions to remain in safety during this extreme weather.
