The recent heat form in Karachi has facilitated with the partial return of the sea breeze, Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) said on Thursday.

The department expects the breeze to be fully resumed in the evening and gradually lower temperatures across the city. Karachi’s maximum temperature is expected to hover around 38 ° C on Thursday.

Moisture levels were 74% from Thursday morning, while winds were registered 10 km/h from the southwest.

Despite the improved conditions, air quality in the city remains categorized as unhealthy. The air quality index measured polluting concentration at 115, indicating a sustained bad environment.

Elsewhere in Pakistan, hot and dry weather is likely to prevail in most regions over the next twelve hours.

Light rain and thunderstorms are possible in isolated areas of upper Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit Baltistan and Kashmir.

Morning temperatures in key cities included 15 ° C in Islamabad, 24 ° C in Lahore, 26 ° C in Karachi, 19 ° C in Peshawar, 13 ° C in Quetta, 14 ° C in Gilgit, 11 ° C in Murree and 18 ° C in Muzaffarabad.
