- Pro-Project’s AC/DC tires can put you on the highway to hell
- It’s limited edition so are you ready?
- What (do you do for) money? About $ 1,450 / £ 1,149 / AU $ 2,319
Rarely on this rock ‘n’ Roll train calls life make a new hi-fi product me to consider whether I want to use it for music or hang it on a wall as art (although Samsung’s music frame is another remarkable example). But give no mistakes, Pro-Int’s AC/DC turntable with limited version is every empty empty designed for those who are about to rock.
The tire is the latest addition to Pro-Int’s Artist Collection and if you want one, yes … Money negotiations. As you would expect, it’s a big gun; Thunderbolt is of course back in black, but there is a red LED-lit understood to give a TNT-style visual statement plus a brand new acrylic tone arm and a heavy glass dish to the full witch’s spelling effect.
Touch too much? Not for me – Unlike Riff Raff, I would be willing to stand out with the full £ 1,149 for one when it arrives at the UK in March (which is about $ 1,450 or AU $ 2,319, give or take). No, it’s not exactly cheap. But if you want blood …
Who made who?
Pro-Project started making a turntable in 1991, and my beloved Sydney Rock Screamers formed in the early 1970s, so I think there’s your answer to that.
Back to Jack in Hand and given Pro-Proje’s enviable Track Record (See Pro-Hunting Debut Carbon Evo to begin with, which is still one of the best turntables we’ve ever tested), this is far from a shot in the dark. This is Project, so the build quality will be tough as a rock and your vinyl will be safe (yes, even in New York City) under the pre-assembly orthophone 2M Red cartridge.
I am currently unable to afford this big balls Project suggestions, although the company has recently started making cheaper turntable music systems, which is a whole Lotta Rosie and maybe just as easily shake you all night long. For now I have to imagine to invite people over and randomly say “take a drink on me” and set Let there be rock Down on the dish when they whisper “Girl’s Got Rhythm” among themselves …
