- Another foldable iPhone -leakage has emerged
- Wise sizes of 7.74 inches and 5.49 inches is tip
- The handset is expected to appear next year
The rumors of the collapsible iPhone do not stop, and the latest leak gives us an idea of the sizes of screens that the handset will be sporting – both the main display and the outer coverage display.
This tip is from Serial Delicious Digital Chat Station (via Android Authority), a source that can usually depend on. Apparently we are ready to get a 7.74-inch inner screen and a 5.49 inch outer screen when the folded iPhone eventually appears.
If you want to know how it stacks up against the competition, you can check our Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 Review: That the folding comes with a 7.6-inch inner screen and a 6.3-inch outer screen so the front is marked Larger on Samsung model.
Then there’s Google: As our Google Pixel 9 Pro Review will tell you, it comes with an 8-inch inner screen and a 6.3-inch outer screen. If this leakage is accurate, both screens on the collapsible iPhone become smaller.
iPhone not iPad
This leak suggests that Apple is actually working on a foldable book style rather than a flip-style folding (see our Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 review for an example). This also sounds more like a collapsible iPhone than a folded iPad.
Of course, if the folding iPhone has a smaller screen than its rivals, it is not necessarily a disadvantage: It means that the handset becomes more compact when closed and takes less space in a pocket or bag.
Rumors have so far pointed to 2026 as the year when Apple will publish this folding iPhone and available to the masses. With Apple’s record, it will probably be one of the best foldable on the market as soon as it is launched.
Apple is said to have started to develop the phone in November last in the meantime.
