- Spig has just launched a retro theme Apple Watch charger

In the annals of Great Apple Products, the iMac G3 is generally seen as one of the company’s best Macs. Not only was it incredibly innovative when it was launched in 1998, but it helped to start the other Steve Jobs era and almost saved Apple from bankruptcy. Not a bad resumption, that.
These days it is not easy to get your hands on a functioning iMac G3, considering that it is approaching 30 years old. But you can now get the next best thing, as the accessory manufacturer Spigen has just released an Apple Watch charger shaped like the famous iMac G3 – and it gives me all kinds of nostalgic vibes.
Baptized Apple Watch Classic C1 Charger Stand, Spigen’s device consists of an Apple Watch Charger House designed to look like a miniature mockup of an iMac G3 (unfortunately you have to deliver your own Apple Watch charging cable).
To turn on your smartwatch, you simply place it on the puck – placed over the iMac’s display – and it will start to juice in standby mode.

But the real joy is the selection of colors at your disposal. The IMAC G3 was famous for the lively shades it offered, marking a striking departure from the contemporary world of the beige PC boxes.
Mirroring it, the rigor’s charger is available in Mandarin, Graphite and Rubintons, as well as the famous Bondi Blue, who helped establish the IMAC’s signature look.
And like the G3, the colorful elements of Spigen’s charger are translucent, which lets you look into its (mostly empty) gut. With the iMac, this was intended to demystify the device’s internal work at a time when most people were on duty against computers. Apple’s designers even went to a Jelliebean factory to learn how to create the appropriate effect.
