Death Stranding 2: On the beach Director Hideo Kojima has said his next game, Physintare still at least five to six years away from release.
In a new interview with the French magazine Le Film Français (via VGC), prior to the launch of Death Stranding 2Kojima was asked if he would ever consider directing a movie in the future.
The waste director said he would and that he “received many offers after leaving Konami.”
Besides Death Stranding Successor, Kojima is currently working on his action -Spionage -game Physint, As he said will take another five to six years to quit before he can consider moving to filming.
“Besides Death Stranding 2, which is Physint under development, “said Kojima.” It will take me another five or six years. Maybe after that I could finally decide to tackle a movie. I grew up with cinema. It would be a kind of tribute to it. Besides, I get older and I prefer to do it while I’m still young. “
Phyisint is a brand new “Original IP” that was announced during the PlayStation State of Play in January 2024 and will be Kojima Productions’ third big game.
Kojima also develops Odhis horror project for Microsoft, which was revealed back in 2023. The director did not mention anything new about Od During his interview, but it is said to be a “brand new style of games” that develops with Xbox Game Studios and will star actors Sophia Lillis, Udo Kier and Hunter Schaffer.
For now Kojima -Fans can look forward to Death Stranding 2: On the beachwhich will be launched on June 26, 2025 for PS5.
