High Court postponing 9 May Bail Hearing

Lahore High Court (LHC) on Tuesday accepted the prosecutor’s request to provide an opportunity to submit a response regarding guarantee care that was filed by Pakistan Tehreek-E-Insaf (PTI) leader Ijaz Chaudhry in four cases registered against him over the 9 May rebellion.

The court postponed the hearing of bail applications until Thursday.

An LHC division bench led by justice Syed Shahbaz Ali Rizvi heard bail applications.

The prosecution sought time to submit the reply to court.

Another Ijaz Chaudhry claimed his guarantee application that he had nothing to do with the allegations planned in the first information reports (FIRS).

He claimed he had been implicated in counterfeit and junk cases that were politically motivated.

He said there was nothing available on the record to establish his Nexus with the offenses portrayed in eighty.

He requested the court to give him bail.
