High potential Season 2 is on the way, and after an early renewal, the role crew and crew are already back filming. Even better news, it has already been confirmed by ABC that the show returns as part of the autumn release plan in 2025. So if you love High potential So much like me you feel pretty happy right now.
When High potential Season 1 hit our screens for the first time we were introduced to Morgan, a single mother who worked as a cleaner at LAPD until her glorious mind found her in a new role in the department, helping to solve the insoluble crimes.
After the release, the show topped the hit lists over Hulu and Disney+, with the final episode that served a series of High Viewership on streaming.
Here’s all we know about High potential Season 2 from when it is likely to arrive, confirmed role crews, plot rumors, news and more.
High potential season 2: scheduled release plan
High potential Season 2 was renewed in January, mid -season 1, and from May, filming officially began with the most important role crew posing with a clapperboard in the show’s Instagram message.
Though High potential Season 1 was only completed in February, it seems that we do not have to wait long in season 2.
Not only that, but the episode count is also expanded. There will be 18 episodes of the crime drama for its second season as opposed to the first 13th excellent news.
High potential season 2: Has a trailer been released?
When the role crew and crew first began filming in May there is no High potential Season 2 trailer to share yet. With an autumn release plan, however, it will probably fall at the end of summer. I’ll update here as soon as it does.
High Potential Season 2: Confirmed and predicted Role herd
Spoilers follow High potential Season 1 and possibly for season 2.
While the Instagram post from SET told us that the filming had begun, it also revealed some of the role crews returning. So far it confirmed High potential Season 2 Role Crew is as follows:
- Kaitlin Olson as Morgan Gillory
- Daniel Sunjata as Adam Karadec
- Javicia Leslie as Daphne Forrester
- Judy Reyes as Selena Soto
- Deniz Akdeniz as LEV ‘OZ’ OSMAN
And in view of how High potential Season 1 was done, we said goodbye to JD Pardo as Tom when he left Los Angeles (and Morgan) to pursue his nursing school.
I think it’s safe to say that Morgan’s two children, Amirah J as Ava and Matthew Lamb as Elliott, will play – even though it’s not yet confirmed.
The last few episodes of Season 1 also saw the introduction of two new characters – a guest star and a villain.
First, guest star Jocko Sims as Ronnie Oliver played in a few episodes of Seaosn 1. And when asked if he returns, Showrunner Todd Harthan shows to TheWrap: “We will have to plan and plan the season, who knows, but he is wonderful. This season there will be all kinds of opportunities for great guest stars.”
And then of course there is David Giuntoli as the serial murderous villain, David Peck. I get into more about the role of David in the latest season when we jump into High potential Season 2 story Synopsis below.
Whether one of these role crew members returns to Season 2, we have to wait and see but for David it seems to very Probably.
High Potential Season 2: History Synopsis and Rumors

High potential Follows Morgan, a single mother and the police department’s cleaning agent, who turns its brilliant mind to help solve the ‘insoluble’. Morgan, who quickly changes department roles, is brought Morgan into the fold as a police consultant who is fighting for crime with his unconventional mind.
And High potential Season 1 inflamed viewers with crime and personal dramas. But it also left viewers with very of questions. The biggest, perhaps, that Morgan’s ex novel is actually alive, and Karadec has revealed he knows where he is.
And that is before we even address the introduction of the new big bad serial killer villain, David (prev. ‘Game Master’), who left Morgan a note when they avoid catching that they want to “play again.” Thus to set up its character for a haunting return in High potential Season 2.
Fortunately, Showrunner Todd Harthan has any intention to turn to these jaw-clad cliffhangers for us. In a talk with TheWrap he said, “We have a pretty healthy plan for how to start the season. I think one of the big mistakes that show is [saying] ‘Oh, let’s put a pin in both of these cliffhangers and we’ll come to them later.’ “
Addition: “The promise in Season 2 is to answer some other big questions, but also elaborate on the mystery before we really unpack too much or introduce someone prematurely.”
And when it comes to the simmering tension between Morgan and Karadec, Harthan revealed: “I think there will be a freshness in this relationship that we will write to that will not fall into some of the similar traps or tropes from other shows.”
Olson added: “People are so excited about when Morgan and Karadec meet. That’s what makes a good show, trying to find a place where we give you something unexpected, but we also satisfy what you are looking for and you don’t want to look at as a very predictable story that you already know.”
Although Tom appeared after accepting Morgan’s invitation to the police gala, he still left LA, leaving the door open to the potential between Morgan and Karadec.
But there is another screw key in the works with Morgan’s ex novel that Harthan told tvline would be a big part of High potential Season 2: “I think it should kick it up a notch. If I keep it on the same level, just dip our toe in the water instead of jumping in the pool, that’s the kind of thing that can frustrate the audience.
“So I think we have to find meaningful upgrades and give them bigger bite of the story if you want, in season 2 .. It will be a bit of a deeper dive.”
Will there be more seasons with great potential?
It is not clear at all. Given High potential Was renewed for Season 2 during Season 1’s race, I can imagine that we have no answer to you until at least the end of 2025 or early 2026.
But if High potential Season 1 Statistics is all to pass, as reported by ABC, it certainly points in a positive direction. Season 1 HIT series heights in both overall viewers, 13.2 million and for adults 18-49 after seven days of viewing on ABC, Hulu, Hulu on Disney+ and digital platforms.
If High potential Season 2 can catch the audience again, it seems that the show could continue for several seasons coming. There is no official word on a season 3, but I will be sure to update here if/when there is.
