President Asif Ali Zardari is aimed at Parliament’s joint session on Monday and marks the beginning of the second parliamentary year for the current National Assembly.
As soon as the president has begun his speech, opposition legislators, especially from PTI, have erupted in slogans and have brought posters and made the session a chaotic sight.
The president has resort to using headphones to continue his speech in the midst of the disturbance.
Senior government officials, including ministers and legislators from various parties, have participated in the session, while foreign diplomats have observed from the guest gallery.
The session’s only agenda has been the president’s address without any other procedure scheduled.
Before the session, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif held a meeting with President Zardari, along with the National Assembly’s speeches Sardar Ayaz Sadiq and Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar.
For an easy moment, PTI leader Perez Khattak mistakenly gone against opposition benches before he realized his mistakes and returned to shake hands with the prime minister and vice -prime minister.
Despite the protests, President Zardari has smiled at opposition members as he continued his address and has not shown evidence of being discouraged by the rebellion.
