Highpoint Technologies has revealed a portable NVME storage solution that offers almost a petabyte of capacity.
The new system contains eight of Solidigm’s D5-P5336 122TB SSDS, which is the house in the HighPoint Rocketstor 6542AW NVME RAID enclosure. Together, these 976TB delivers storage in a design compact enough for mobile or space -limited environments.
Rocketstor 6542AW supports all eight SSDs through a single PCIe connection. HighPoint’s PCIE-switching technology enables high-speed data transfer rates that address the benefits of the data for data-heavy industries.
NVME storage with high capacity, trouble-free scalability
“This collaboration between HighPoint and Solidigm is a game elexpler in Enterprise Storage,” said May Hwang, VP at HighPoint Technologies.
“By qualifying SOLIGNM D5-P5336 SSDs in our Rocketstor 6542AW, we have created an unprecedented solution that combines NVME storage with high capacity with seamless scalability.”
The unit itself is almost five inches high and just over nine inches long. Despite its small size, it offers full PCIe X16 connection, making it suitable for professionals on the go, small studios or business environments that need strong storage in a limited space.
This setup supports applications such as artificial intelligence, big data analysis and media production, where both speed and storage capacity are important.
In AI and machine learning, model training often depends on quick access to large data sets.
With its Soliktm SSDs, Rocketstor supports 6542AW faster training cycles. This helps researchers and developers manage workloads with improved efficiency.
For company’s backup and HPC workload, RAID support and high-speed connections offer secure, fast backups and low-latency data.
HighPoint says the enclosure is suitable for complex tasks such as technical simulations and scientific research where high flow is needed.
In media production, especially with 4K and 8K content, fast storage is key. Rocketstor 6542AW offers 28 GB/s transfer bandwidth and ample space for large video files. This helps edit and reproduce workflows in movies, animation and design.
