Punjab Secretary for Tourism and Archaeology, Dr. Ehsan Bhutta, has announced the end of major projects aimed at transforming the historic Hiran Minar in Sheikhupura into a new tourist hub.
He said the provincial government is working to upgrade historical places with modern facilities to improve the experience of both domestic and international visitors.
According to Dr. Bhutta has been developed a floating brew-cum restaurant at Hiran Minar, which offers visitors the unique experience of sailing and eating at the same time. The project was completed in collaboration with the Tourism Development Corporation of Punjab (TDCP).
He also said that with the support of the Wildlife Department, a mini zoological garden is established on site where about 30 deer and wild sheep from Changa Manga are moved. To promote environmentally friendly mobility, 15 bikes and electric golf wagons have been delivered to a three kilometer long picnic within the complex.
Dr. Bhutta also revealed that the first route for the double -decker tourist bus connection has ended, which connects the shrine of Waris Shah with Hiran Minar. In the second phase, the historic Bohli of Jandiala Sher Khan and Sheikhupura for this route is added.
In collaboration with Sheikhupura Arts Council, live performance of the classic Punjabi -epos Heer At Waris Shah Shrine and Folk Music Events by local artists at Hiran Minar will also be organized. In addition, barbecue facilities will be made available to families a nominal tax to encourage a healthy recreational environment.

Dr. Ehsan Bhutta emphasized that these initiatives will help establish Sheikhupura as a new tourist hub in Punjab, increasing the local economy and creating new employment opportunities for society.
