Honor has revealed his brand new Honor Watch 5 Ultra, the company’s latest attempt to knock the best Android smartwatches from their perch.
Honor Watch 5 Ultra is the new robust, Premium edition of his Watch series, revealed this week at MWC 2025 in Barcelona. Watch 5 Ultra forms part of Honer’s new plan to become a “global leading AI unit ecosystem company”, which also includes new Honor Magic devices and a promise to give 7 years of Android OS updates to its smartphones.
On paper, the Watch 5 Ultra looks very impressive. It has a unique angular design that you do not find anything else Smartwatch, and a Class 5 Titanium shell that makes it easy and durable. It’s the same alloy used by Apple to make the best smartwatch on the market, Apple Watch Ultra 2.
The distinctive chassis houses a 1.5-inch AMOLED screen with LTPO tech and a 60 Hz refresher speed, enabling always-to-functionality and variable update to maintain battery life. This combined with a 480 mAh battery is enough to give up to 15 days typical use, according to Honor.

Other impressive features of the release include a new quick health scan feature that gives you a quick, comprehensive health overview and a new healthy morning report similar to the Body Battery feature you find on most of the best Garmin watches.
A crucial omission is that there is no wear -of -wear to us -support here. Honor Watch Ultra 5 runs Honor’s Proprietary Magicos. It may be an exit for some, but it works with both Android and iOS, so even iPhone users may want to get into the action.
