Honor Guard, 21-Gun Salute Mark Erdogan’s arrival at PM House

Turkiye President Recep Tayyip Erdogan arrived on Thursday at the Prime Minister House in Islamabad, where he was warmly met with a magnificent honorary guard.

This formal reception marks the beginning of his official visit, where he will have discussions with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to strengthen the bilateral connections.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif greeted President Erdogan and First Lady Emine Erdogan with full state protocol on their arrival.

The prime minister introduced the visiting president of members of his federal cabinet, where each member greets Erdogan individually.

Later, Chief of Army Staff (Coas) met General Asim Munir with President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and greeted him warmly on his official visit to Pakistan.

In a further show of respect, President Erdogan was honored with a spectacular airpast of F-16 fighters, adding magnificent of his visit.

Erdogan arrived in Islamabad late Wednesday on a two-day visit to Pakistan, where he would hold bilateral meetings with Pakistani leadership and address Pakistan-Turkiye Business and Investment Forum.

Erdogan was awarded a warm welcome at Nur Khan Airbase. He was received by President Asif Zardari, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, First Lady Aseefa Bhutto, Deputy Ishaq Dar, Defense Minister Khawaja Asif, Information Minister Attaullah Tarar and High -ranking Officers.

A 21-canon honor was fired in honor of President Erdogan, accompanied by a high-level delegation. Pakistan Air Force Jets escorted Erdogan’s special aircraft as it entered Pakistan’s airspace, which added the significance of the visit.

Two children, dressed in traditional attire, presented bouquets to President Erdogan and the first lady. The welcome ceremony also included a performance of the military band, while children waved the flags of both Pakistan and Turkey.

During his visit, President Erdogan and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif co-chairman on the 7th session in Pakistan-Turkey High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council (HLSCC), aiming to further strengthen bilateral relationships. Erdogan will also attend bilateral meetings with both Prime Minister Sharif and President Zardari.
