Honor has revised his smartphone strategy to become an “AI-Unit Ecosystem Company” and is working on a new type of an intelligent smartphone that will include “custom-built, human-centric AI designed to maximize human potential.”
The company’s new CEO, James Li, announced the move-Kaldet Honor Alpha-Plan-HOS MWC 2025 and called for the smartphone industry to “create an open, valuable AI ecosystem that maximizes human potential, which ultimately benefits all of humanity.” Talk about ambitions.
This alpha plan consists of three steps, each catering to another ‘era’ of AI: namely the agent AI era, the physical AI era and Agi (artificial general intelligence) era. The first, Honor says, relates to the development of a “super intelligent” smartphone that the company will create in collaboration with various partners, including Qualcomm and Google.
Honor teased various new software tools as part of his presentation-Inclusive AI UPSCALE and a cross-OS file sharing technology (yes, the ability to share files between iOS and Android devices) -The will include on its upcoming devices. Some, like AI UPSCALE, will also come to the newly released Honor Magic 7 Pro.

For the so-called physical AI-era, Honor Honere hopes that the “industry” can collaborate on a shared AI ecosystem to help get the very best out of this potentially paradigm shifting technology.
“I urge the industry to be really open so that we can fully embrace this exciting AI future. Let’s do it together, ”Li said on stage at MWC. In a view of confidence in its existing hardware, Honor also announced an obligation to deliver seven years of Android OS and security updates to its latest Magic Series devices, including Magic 7 Pro, on MWC 2025.
