Honer’s latest book style, which is foldable, Magic V5, has finally landed in England and Europe after debut in China earlier this year.
It arrives only a few weeks after the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 and one month ahead of the Google Pixel 10 Pro Fold, which will start sending on October 9th.
But how does Hone’s latest folding flagship compare? We are currently watching the Magic V5 through its Tempo team with our full review in the coming weeks-but below we have detailed the new phone’s price and on-paper specifications versus two of the best collapsible phones in 2025.
Honor Magic V5 with 512 GB and 12GB RAM starts at £ 1,699.99, undermining Pixel 10 Pro Fold by £ 50 and Galaxy Z Fold 7 with a hefty £ 100. You also get twice as much storage at that price even though Google’s phone offers a larger 16 GB RAM capacity as standard.
Look at
Design -wise, Honor claims that the ivory white version of the Magic V5 is the “thinnest collapsible phone” on the market, but our own test proved that the Galaxy Z Fold 7 is actually the thinnest Book style that is foldable in any orientation. Still, 4.2 mm, when open and 9.39 mm, when closed, Honor’s Magic V5 is still unlikely slim, and the difference in thickness between it and Samsung is hard to distinguish with the naked eye.
The Google Pixel 10 Pro Fold is meanwhile visibly thicker than both honor and Samsung, but it best makes the competition with a unique IP68 water and dust resistance assessment; Magic V5 and Galaxy Z Fold 7 get IP58 and IP48 respectively.

In a moment, the Honor Magic V5 boasts larger ultra-trained, telecommunications and front-facing sensors than both the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Pixel 10 Pro Fold, while its intense 5,820mAh silicon-carbon battery could also deliver superior battery life.
The phone’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Chipset also promises Galaxy-Equaling Performance, although we will have to run our own internal tests to confirm if that is the case.
Nevertheless, we have come far from Royole Flexpai’s days and original Samsung Galaxy Z Fold. The latest honor, Samsung and Google Foldables are powerful, durable and versatile devices that compete with the very best phones on the market, and you are unlikely to be disappointed with any of them.
Honor Magic V5 and Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 are available to order now, while Google Pixel 10 Pro Fold is ready for pre -order (as mentioned, the phone will start sending on October 9). Our full Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 review is live now and we are putting our Full Honor Magic V5 and Google Pixel 10 Pro Fold reviews in the coming weeks.
