Nintendo has shared a solution for the joint Switch 2 battery charging indicator problem.
Switch 2, which was officially launched earlier this month and if you are one of the users who has experienced a problem where your console incorrectly shows your battery percentage, is fortunately a solution.
On the support page, Nintendo has provided simple step-by-step instructions “for when the battery run is displayed and the actual remaining battery farming does not match.”
All you need is your Switch 2 console, Switch 2 AC adapter and internet access. You can read the guide below.
- Confirm that you are using a sufficiently powerful AC adapter to charge your console. The Nintendo Switch AC adapter (Model HAC-002) can be used to charge the Nintendo Switch 2 when connected directly to the console. Due to differences in power output, it cannot be used to charge the Nintendo Switch 2 when anchored.
- Confirm that your console has the latest system update.
- Turn off the console.
- Press and hold the volume up (+) and volume down (-) buttons, press the power button once to turn on the system.
- Continue to hold down the volume buttons until the Recover Mode menu appears. Navigation to this menu must reset the battery level.
- Turn off the console again by pressing and holding the on / off button until it turns off.
- Power console back and monitor the situation.
Nintendo noted that navigating to the Restore Mode menu should be enough to reset the battery level meter, but if you follow these steps still do not resolve the battery charging indicator problem, the console must be sent to a service repair.
