How to watch Silent Witness Season 29
Silent Witnessthe long-running British investigative crime drama, is set to return for its 29th season. This time they are moving from the familiar London environment to the Sir William Bowman Center of Excellence in Birmingham. Spanning ten episodes, the new season features five cases, each told across two episodes (airing weekly), tackling contemporary issues such as artificial intelligence and social media polarization.
The series was first broadcast in 1996 and follows Dr. Nikki Alexander (Emilia Fox) as she leads a team of investigators who examine crime scenes, autopsies, forensic evidence and scientific data to solve seemingly intractable murder cases.
Along with Emilia Fox, returning cast members include David Caves as Jack Hodgson, Maggie Steed as Harriet Maven and Francesca Mills as Kit Brooks. Fans are also excited about this season’s guest appearances, which include Vinette Robinson (Sherlock), Dino Fetscher (Banana, People), Lydia Wilson (Ripper Street), Adam Rayner (Superman and Lois), and Chris Reilly (Slow horses), among others.
Season 28 ended on a high note with Nikki and Jack finally tying the knot. The new season will see them settling into married life while continuing to tackle complex criminal cases. Reports also suggest that a 30th season is already underway, much to the delight of the show’s loyal fanbase.
