Extreme measures were taken to protect White Lotus‘Final.
Performing producer David Bernad has revealed in a new conversation the effort that went into pre -production of HBO Hit series “just in case of” future leaks.
“We have fake endings on the manuscripts,” Bernad wasted to People Magazine Prior to the final April 6 of Season 3.
“So we wrote up – we have six different finishes – and we distributed kinds of fake endings to people, in case someone leaked something, and then we could say that there are different false endings.”
Showrunners also reviewed similar lengths in the production phase.
“And then when we shot the final scene, it’s a locked set,” he continues. “So no one really has access to what we shoot and there would be no non-nonWhite Lotus Participants have ever seen what we are doing. “
When they started shooting season 3, there were “three secrets:” How Season 3 ends, Jon Gries’ return-after having possibly killed Jennifer Coolidge’s Tanya in Season 2 and Sam Rockwell’s multi-episode arch.
Bernad continued to detail how they actually maintained these standards through all stages.
“Jon was really obliged to keep the secret,” he told the publication. “And when we traveled and went into Thailand, he once drove the equipment in a bus, instead of flying the 45 minutes or whatever it was. I think he drove like, 12 hours from Phuket to Bangkok.”
“But we shoot at the four seasons, a scene with Jon Gries, and there were people who looked and filmed from a room,” he remembered, noting that the crew immediately jumped on injury control.
“They didn’t know that what they were filming was sensitive, and I was really afraid they would send it. So I got the hotel manager to go and bring them over to the set and I sent them kind and got them on my side.”
Bernad said his first proposal deleted the video – but to ensure confidentiality he also brought them to “hang on set.”
