- HP has introduced the Omnibook 5 series using Qualcomms Snapdragon -processors
- Both Omnibook 5 14 and Omnibook 5 16, have oled screens
- They are both expected to be available in July
Computex 2025 is well underway, which means there is plenty of new tech ranging from new desktop PC hardware to portable devices – and we have a new lineup for the latter that intends to improve productivity.
HP has announced its new omnibook 5 series with Omnibook 5 14-inch and Omnibook 5 16-inch laptops Providing significant jumps in the treatment effect (using Snapdragon X Plus and X -Chips) and visual quality; The most important thing is that HP claims that its new series has ‘the world’s longest battery life in a consumer AI PC Notebook’.
Per. HP’s blog will have each laptop up to 34 hours of battery life, which is to ensure that consumers get the most out of their activities. When you run low on the battery, you can get right back up to speed with HP Fast Charge, which charges you up to 50% in just 30 minutes.
These impressive claims may not come as a surprise as Qualcomm’s Snapdragon processors are ideal for battery efficiency, providing unique performance that competes with some of Apple’s M-based chips while ensuring that the life of the battery is best.
It is also worth noting that both laptops will have OLED screens capable of providing excellent image quality thanks to deep black levels that come from a high contrast ratio. This will be ideal for video content, including creative tasks that require great color and this to be further supported with a 95.3 DCI-P3 color games and 0.2m’s response time.
The biggest highlight here, out of power and capacities, is perhaps pricing. HP Omnibook 14 is expected to be launched in July, starting at $ 799 via HP’s online store. Its counterpart, HP Omnibook 16, is also expected to be launched in July, starting at $ 849 – and both of them are affordable prices, given the benefits available here.
OLED is all I ever need …
At these reasonable request prices are OLED -suddenly computers that have great battery life and performance, all I need -and that’s why I think this new Omnibook 5 series is worth keeping an eye on.
Despite the worries of burning and text ringing (which has been improved with the next generation of OLED screens), use an OLED screen on my own lifted my joy while playing and watching movies. And if you are lucky like me, you will not actually notice text power when you work.
In my Lenovo Yoga Slim 7x review, I highlighted how it is one of the best OLED screens I’ve ever seen; I won’t be surprised if I end up saying the same thing about HP’s new Omnibook series.
With the allegations of battery life competing with other Snapdragon-Laptop computers, it’s a no-brainer starting at the $ 749 and Snapdragon X Plus (8-core version) has 45 NPU tops for AI applications and tasks.
We will have to wait for results in the real world, but stay around and check out our Computex 2025 Live blog to keep an eye on more details.
