- HPE’s acquisition of $ 14 billion of eineret network is now completed
- EU and UK -Authorization came quickly, US approval not so much
- The network business could make up 50% of revenue
More than 18 months after HPE initially revealed plans to acquire Einer networks, and several regulatory obstacles later, the merger has now been completed.
When Juniper’s shares cease to trade with NYSE and HPE’s networking business, which is set to double, HPE hopes that the $ 14 billion acquisition will allow it to focus on areas with higher margin with higher growth, creating “long -term profitable revenue growth.”
The news comes shortly after the US Department of Justice approved the merger, subject to two key conditions that require HPE to depend on its moment on business and auction of a license for Juniper’s AI OPS for Mist Source Code.
HPE-Juniper fusion is now complete
“In addition to placing HPE to offer our customers a modern network architectural alternative and an even more differentiated and complete portfolio across hybridsky, AI and network, this combination accelerates our profitable growth strategy as we elaborate on our customer relevance and expand our overall addressable market to attractive adjacent areas,” commented HPE CEO Antonio Neri.
Juniper Networks CEO Rami Rahim described the merger as an “opportunity to disrupt the network industry at the most important and relevant time.”
HPE noted that the merger is in line with its vision for customers to access silicon, hardware, operating system, security, software and services everything in one place.
Looking ahead, HPE depicts the combined network business to contribute to more than half of the company’s entire operating income, which amounted to $ 7.6 billion, an increase of 6%, in the recent quarter.
Despite some conditions imposed by DOJ, HPE was quick to obtain approval from the Europe Commission, which found “no competition problems in the European economic area” almost a year ago. Just a few weeks later, the UK’s competition and market authority also granted approval for the agreement.
