- Six rack-mounted servers arrive at Q1 2025, while Synergy 480 Leaves and DL580 Quad-Socket in Q3 2025
- Offers up to 288 kernels, 8TB DDR5 -MEMAL and PCIE GEN5
- HPE introduces quantum -resistant encryption
Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) has revealed its latest Proliant Compute Gen12 portfolio, introducing eight new servers powered by Intel Xeon 6 processors.
This marks a departure from previous generations offering AMD EPYC alternatives, and HPE says the new lineup with faster DDR5 configurations can give up to 65% annual power savings thanks to its AI drive reduces cooling consumption by up to 90%.
The Proliant Gen12 portfolio integrates quantum-resistant encryption to protect against cryptographic threats, while HPE ILO 7 offers independent hardware-based protection of sensitive credentials such as encryption keys and system passwords.
Expanding the proliant lineup
The Proliant Gen12 series includes six rack-mounted servers, a leafver and a high-performance quad processor system.
Among them, DL380 (2U) and DL360 (1U) deliver double-socket configurations that support up to 288 cores, 8TB of DDR5 memory and PCIe Gen5 extension. These models meet companies that require scalable calculation strength for AI, cloud and virtualization of workloads.
For companies seeking cost-effective single-socket solutions, DL320 and DL340 offer targeted benefit benefits. DL320, a 1U server, supports up to 144 cores, 2TB DDR5 memory and PCIe Gen5 extension, making it ideal for virtualization, while DL340, a 2U server, is optimized for AI-driven Cloud Computing with support For 8TB of DDR5 -Memory and PCIe Gen5 connection.
The ML350 Tower Server is designed for SMBS and Edge Computing and offers up to 8 TB DDR5 memory and multiple PCIe Gen5 slots. Meanwhile, the DL380A, a 2U rack server, is built for intensive workload that supports up to 16 single-inclusive or 8 double-covering GPUs.
HPE plans to release the six rack-mounted servers in the Q1 2025, while the Synergy 480 Leaves Server and High-Performance DL580 Quad processor system are launched this summer, available as independent devices or through HPE Greenlake.
“Our customers tackle workloads that are overwhelming data -intensive and growing increasingly demanding,” said Krista Satterthwaite, senior vice president and general manager, calculated at HPE.
“The new HPE Proliant Compute Gen12 servers provide organizations – that span the public sector, business and vertical industries such as funding, healthcare and more – horsepower and management insight they need to thrive while balancing their sustainability and management of costs, ”she added.
“This is a modern business platform constructed for the hybrid world, designed with innovative security and control functions to help companies prevail over the evolving trussel landscape and performance challenges that their inheritance hardware cannot tackle.”
