Chief of Army Staff (Coas) Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir emphasized the importance of national unity, civilian-military synergy and a whole-nation approach to counteracting hybrid threats and promoting social cohesion, the military’s media wing said on Saturday.
The Army Chief said this during his visit to Multan Garrison, where he reviewed the operational readiness of the formation and presided the induction ceremony for the Z-10Me attack helicopters to Pakistan Army Aviation.
According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the All-Weather platform, equipped with advanced radar systems and electronic warfaging features, is designed for precision strikes. It is expected to increase Pakistan Army Aviation’s operational capacity against both air and soil threats significantly against both air and soil threats.
After the ceremony, Field Marshal ASIM witnessed a live fire demonstration of Z-10Me helicopters in Muzaffarh-Field Firing. The display showed the Army’s modernized response functions and the integration of combined weapons acts, ISPR said.
Coas was received by Corps Commander and oriented in the Corps Headquarters on Continuous Training Activities and the overall operational preparedness of the formation. He expressed satisfaction over the high state of emergency and confirmed the army’s unwavering obligation to defend national sovereignty and territorial integrity, the statement says.
Gen Munir also held an interactive session with members of academia and civil society, emphasizing the importance of national unity, civilian-military synergy and a whole-nation approach to counteracting hybrid threats and promoting social cohesion, added.
In his interaction with troops, the army chief praised their high morals, professionalism and combat readiness. He praised the effective demonstration of the battlefield tactics and repeated the army’s decision to maintain an edge in the midst of developing threats, the statement concluded.
