When I started playing Honkai: Star RailOne of the first teams I put together focused on dot (damage over time) archetype. But in the last year or so, this composition dropped out of advantage dramatically. But now we’re back.
The Honkai: Star Rail Version 3.5 Update-Waring Titled ‘Before their Deaths’ is launched on August 13 and introduces new history content, two new playable characters, a new map, a new boss and several new events.
The most important highlight, at least for me, is the introduction of Hysilenes. As a five-star physical character after the nihility path, her kit seems to revive the fighting dot sheet type.
Her kit includes an ability that generates a zone in battle, reducing the attack and defense of all enemies – but, more importantly, every instance of dot on target in the zone triggers further dot from her.
Add to the top that all her abilities have a chance to apply a random dot effect on target and you can see why all the characters point out that she is the savior of my favorite Playstyle.
Whether it is that things are turning out in practice, it is kidding, but I am hopeful that her introduction to the game should at least go some way to pick up the wealth in dot and its co -emergers like me.

Still, there is more than this that happens in the update. The second half adds Cerydra to the game: a five-star wind element character that follows the path of harmony.
Developer Hoyoverse has leaned heavily into the chess theme with this strategist and support. In addition to buffing the damage to your team in different ways, her most important gimmick is the ability to duplicate an allied skill after she has built up enough fees. Of course, players are eager to pair her with phainon, but there is clearly a great potential for experimentation in other team compositions that depend on skills.
The re -driven banners to 3.5 have also been confirmed: The first half will contain Kafka and Silver Wolf returns in the second half. Both of these make sense considering that they have both recently received buffs, while Kafka is the perfect partner for Hysilens in what is likely to be the Premium Dot team.
Maybe time for me to invest in an eidolon, hmm?

On a similar theme, Old Brews & New Friends event brings us back to Dreamjolt Hostelry, where we interfere and serve smart drinks to new and familiar faces. That sounds good, gimming them the jades of the stars.
