I saw tons of cool gadgets at CES 2026, but the one I’ve been craving the most isn’t from a traditional tech brand at all; it is from IKEA.
The Swedish home powerhouse made its debut at the Vegas-based product extravaganza this year, and along with a smart version of its iconic donut lamp and a nifty portable speaker, it launched a bigger speaker that I need on my wall right now.
You can put one on your wall, you can leave it on its pedestal stand on a sideboard, or you can remove the stand but keep it portable. The IKEA designer I spoke to showed me that it lay flat on a coffee table like a fine art object, with sound drifting from the top.
The press release says the series is “designed around the idea that products that bring sound into a room should also add presence and character even when not in use”. They definitely added something to the living room demo suite.

Circular speakers like this aren’t a new idea, but these are made with IKEA’s trademark flair – and at IKEA’s usual reasonable prices too. The designs went on sale globally in December 2025 and are priced at $89 / £29 for the small, $100 / £50 for the medium and $140 / £80 for the large.
At that price, you wouldn’t expect the best sound quality or cutting-edge features, but they’re not super-basic either. Each speaker has three sound modes you can switch for different listening experiences (one is good for things like podcasts, for example).
It can all be controlled via the companion app, or if you want to keep things old, there are physical buttons on the side of the speaker itself to adjust volume, play and pause, or switch between modes. You can also pair several speakers (from the same series or compatible IKEA series) to get an enveloping effect.
My favorite is the classic off-white version, but if you prefer a bit of colour, there are two playful, patterned options designed in collaboration with designer and color specialist Teklan.
