Just a few days after Samsung made his Samsung, Galaxy Bud made 3 FE official, Google’s introduction of a new pair on similar affordable, valued earplugs, and I briefly try them. That’s right, the pixel buds 2A are officially officially with a much more compact berry bag and in-ear design similar to the more expensive Pixel Buds 2 Pro.
Google’s Pixel Bud 2A is priced at $ 129 / £ 129 / AU $ 239 and is ready for pre -ordering right now. Just as it just announced the Pixel Watch 4 or Pixel 10 Pro Fold and even Pixel Buds 2 Pro in 2024, these earplugs will not send until October. Specifically, October 9, 2025, Pixel Bud 2as is the actual launch and when deliveries are expected to begin.
Even with a long time to wait, there is a lot to suffer here, especially factoring in the price you pay.
It starts with the overall design. The pixel buds 2A take up less space than the original pixel buds an earplugs and were easy to place in my ears.
I especially like that the swivel stabilizer is stumbled down from Pixel Buds 2 Pro and allows you to sort these in your ear when you become active, or to choose a slightly looser fit for softer use. There is an ear-tip-fit test you can complete in the Companion app for Android devices, and Google ships four ear tips in the box.
I also didn’t want to sleep on the funny new iris color setting (shown above). It’s more of a light syrin personally, but I especially like the subtle color pop it gives. Pixel buds 2A also come in Hazel, which is a shade of black (shown below).
You will also find a “G” for Google that is engraved on each bud, and the same place has a capacitive touch sensor for controls, such as pausing music or engaging Google Gemini, though you can also encourage AI to help use the phrase, ‘hey google.’
Googles also increase the life of the battery here – Pixel Buds 2A must last for 10 hours at full charge or for up to 27 hours of recharge in the case, although it is with active noise cancellation off. With that, you look at seven hours from the buds and 20 hours from the case.
The carrying floor is smaller and much palm, which makes the buds even more tempting to take everyone with you. The case is recharged via a USB-C port, and which Pixel Watch 4 now has a battery that can be replaced, making it more useful for long-term use.
To help with the improved battery life over the previous Google Pixel knobs A series is Google Tensor A1-Chip. It should make things a little more effective and accelerate responsiveness, but it also drives another new feature – active noise reduction.
Google promises that ANC on Pixel Buds 2A is as good as the first generation of Pixel Buds Pro and we will have to put it to the test. Without music, however, I was able to engage the ANC on the knobs 2A, and it brought a rather packed practical space to a whisper.
It put me in the zone, to some extent, and with a track that plays, it should be even more effective, although Google doesn’t allow us to play music under this early look, which of course means we love from a full judgment until we can do our full review.
Pixel buds 2A will also have a transparency state of times when you will release environmental noise or someone chatting with you.
While I didn’t try sound playback on Pixel Buds 2A, we know that an 11mm dynamic driver drives the experience and these affordable earplugs will boast an adjustable five-band equalizer via the app. Because when you want to be submerged in sound, the spatial sound is also supported here, although it only works with certain pixels (from Pixel 6 and later).
And if you are wrongly placing the case, you can see the location on a card and if the earbuds are inside, you can ping it to make it play a sound. In this way, the game will be made a little faster.
On the paper, the pixel buds are formed 2A to be a rather compelling pair of earplugs, but even for $ 129 / £ 129 / AU $ 239, these go into a beautiful packed world of the best earplugs, with strong options at the same price and lower.
