A source rushed to explain why Meghan Markle seems intent on keeping her title as duchess
An insider has just come to Meghan’s defence, for constantly using the title of duchess despite no longer being a working member of the firm, and has dismissed their racism in previous interviews.
It all started when an insider explained that the problems both Meghan and Harry had with the company stemmed from the fact that “he just didn’t like the way things were run at the institution.”
“His issues are about people and behaviour, not tradition,” an insider explained, defending the prince, who based the royal family’s treatment of his wife in Harry and Meghan Netflix doc.
In a chat with Vanity Fair, even a source came forward to defend Meghan’s use of the duchess title in things like her Instagram page and letters to the government about national paid parental leave.
According to the source, who is also a person of color, the outlet explained. “If I was in the same position and I was treated as I was by the institution, it would not prevent me from still feeling that that title is mine and deserved”.
“If anything, it would feel like you’re giving in to the pressure to exclude yourself in the first place,” they admitted.
“In fact, it would probably make me want it even more. Hell, I’ll slap it on my kids’ names too,” the source added before signing off.
