- IBM POWER11 -Servers promise 99,9999% uptime and no scheduled downtime
- Quantum -safe cryptography prepares against future attacks
- Performance and efficiency are everywhere
IBM has revealed its new Power11 servers-next generation hardware designed to support artificial intelligence, hybrid cloud and automation applications with increased performance and improved security.
The company says the Power11 servers now have an Ultrahøj uptime of 99,9999%, which is noted that autonomous patching, live updates and rolling upgrades ensure zero scheduled downtime through their life cycle.
Power11 servers are also future against developing cyberattacks with built-in quantum-safe cryptography and less than a minute guaranteed ransomware threat detection.

By talking about the “mission-critical, data-intensive workloads”, which IBM Power servers support across bank, healthcare, retail and government, the company revealed advanced servers and entry levels to accommodate a number of workloads, all available from the launch.
“The Power10 will also be the first IBM Power server to support the IBM spir-accelerator, IBM’s System-On-A-CHIP AVAILABLE Q4 2025 custom built for today’s AI-intensive inference workload,” the company added.
In addition to future security against new technologies, Power10 servers also represent a huge leap forward from previous generations, including 55% better core performance than Power9, up to 45% more capacity in input/mid-class models compared to Power10 and 2x performance per year. Watts compared to comparable x86 servers.
IBM also noticed energy efficient condition could further improve server efficiency by up to 28%when the tip performance is not required.
“We take advantage of the full IBM stake to supply Hybrid Sky, AI and Automation Functions, while building on the long reputation of our decades as a reliable hybrid infrastructure for important workloads,” explained Tom McPherson, general manager of Power Systems at IBM.
Although the Power11 servers are set to general accessibility later this month (July 25, 2025), the IBM spill -accelerator will be added before a later date, which is likely in the last three months of 2025.
