ICC fines Pakistan for slow overuse during first ODD against New Zealand

The International Cricket Council (ICC) on Tuesday imposed a fine on Pakistan-men’s cricket team over a slow over-rate during the first ODI against New Zealand played in Napier on Saturday.

According to the tip the cricketing body, Jeff Crowe from the ICC elite panel of the fighting judges imposed the sanction after Pakistan was found to be two overs, which were shortly after the required target after time allowance.

According to Article 2.2 of the ICC Code of Conduct for Players and Player Support staff relating to minimum over-rate law offenses, players are punished 5% of their fighting fee for each over their side fails to bowl within the allotted time.

Since Pakistan had two overs short according to the required provision, visitors have been fined by 10% of their match fees.

Pakistan captain Mohammad Rizwan pleaded guilty to the offenses and accepted the proposed sanctions and exterminated the need for a formal consultation.
