DUBAI: International Cricket Council (ICC) has appointed four Pakistani cricketers in its women’s qualifier 2025 teams in the tournament, with Skipper Fatima Sana leading the lineup.
The prestigious team includes players from three other countries – the West Indies, Bangladesh and Scotland – together with Pakistan on the basis of their extraordinary performances during the tournament.
Pakistan’s captain, Sana, played a key role in his team’s campaign and contributed both with bats and the ball.
Sana’s best performance came in a rainy match against Scotland, claiming 4/23 and helping derailed Scotland’s laps. Pakistan eventually won this meeting with six wickets.
In addition to her bowling, she was instrumental in bats, scoring an undefeated 62 against Thailand in a tense hunt where she showed her leadership and resilience under pressure.
Muneeba Ali, Pakistan’s reliable opening dough, was another standout artist. Her solid start was crucial to laying a strong foundation for the team throughout the tournament.
Ali’s best bank came against Scotland, where she scored 71 ran almost one ball per day. Driving, anchoring Pakistan’s hunting of 187 and ensuring a pleasant win.
Nashra Sandhu was one of the tournament’s most consistent bowlers and claimed 10 wickets an average of 15.60.
Sandhu’s control and Guile with the ball were the key to Pakistan’s success, and she took important wickets in the middle of the overs to keep opposition teams under pressure.
Her performance against the West Indies, where she dismissed key players, was particularly important.
Next to Sandhu was Sadia Iqbal Pakistan’s second major spin threat. Iqbal took nine wickets throughout the tournament and maintained an economy of less than four races per year. Over.
Her tight bowling in the middle overs helped Pakistan gain control of matches where her best performance came in a match in which she claimed 3/28.
The team in the tournament also includes some prominent players from other nations. West Indies’ Hayley Matthews was unique and ended as the highest wicket taker with 13 wickets, including a match-winning 4/24.

Kathryn Bryce from Scotland was appointed player of the tournament for her excellent all-round performances. She topped the race charts with 293 races, including a brilliant 131* in Scotland’s last match, and also took six wickets.
Sharmin Akhter from Bangladesh earned a place in the team after scoring 266 races, including a decisive 94* against Thailand. Her consistent notions were crucial to Bangladesh’s progress throughout the tournament.
