Gill had an excellent time for it in the Home Odi Series against England, which India won 3-0, with scores of 87, 60 and 112, making him the top run-getting in the series, his 259 race on average on 86.33 and a strike speed of 103.60. The next highest goal scorer, Shreyas Iyer, was 78 behind Gill with 181 races.
This is the second time Gill has gone to the top of the pile in the ODD cricket -the previous apartment was under the ODD world championship in 2023.
