This week has been a wild trip with the American duty fear that causes price increases and panic purchases, but we have also been treated with some escapism from our existing dystopian to explore a number of new Thans to release the Black Mirror Seaosn 7.
To catch up with all this and more roll down for recovering the seven biggest news stories of the week.
When you’re done, be sure to check out our choices for the seven new movies and TV shows to watch this weekend (April 11).
7. The Tariffs triggered widespread iPhone-Panik purchase
It has been difficult to avoid Customs Prat this week, even if you are just looking for gadget news. The economic dance spooked iPhone buyers for panic-purchased phones, according to Apple Store staff across the US and that was before the tariffs in China entered the stratosphere.
With iPhones, still mostly made in China, is the theory that Apple’s smartphones could see intense price rises later in the year. Although it is certainly possible, it is difficult to predict what will happen next week, right now, so much less five months in advance.
So while we understand that some people are pulling in the trigger now, it’s also not time to be to store expensive technique – especially with the iPhone 17 now on the horizon.
6. Samsung One UI 7 Rollout
Older Samsung phones finally start unlocking Android 15 features via the one UI 7 update that rolls out -but some of you may be back and wait until June before you see changes.
It is, according to Samsung himself, explaining in their Korean place that while the Samsung Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy Z Fold 6, Z Flip 6, and phones going back to the Galaxy S23 series would get the latest update this month, those of you that depend on older, more budget-friendly phones and tablets like Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 FEAKY A533 A9, and others wait until June.
Given that we expect to see Android 16 on Google I/O 2025 in May, it means Android will have patched Samsung’s software update before its Android 15 port can land on all its devices.
5. Nothing teases the next cmf -fall
This week nothing teased that on April 28, 2025, at. 9 ET / 14.00 BST / 23 PM AEST, it shows CMF Phone 2 Pro together with the new CMF buds 2, Buds 2A and Bud 2 Plus.
However, there are two strange things about this reveal. First, nothing once again skipped the base model – which we just saw with the phone 3A and 3A Pro, which was released before we even announced the regular phone 3. Here, CMF Phone 2 Pro comes out before the CMF phone 2 or CMF Phone 1 Pro.
Nothing did not tease a new CMF watch either. The CMF Watch Pro 2 was displayed next to its phone and earplugs last year, and although not the perfect smartwatch, it was an excellent budget choice. Hopefully a new CMF watch will perform later in the year.
4. Chatgpt got a memory upgrade
Sam Altman teased an exciting new feature for chatgpt, and while it made it clear that this would not be the debut of a new model – although still expected soon – it ended up being meaningful – at least Openai thinks it is.
Chatgpt has received an improved memory feature that will let the AI assistant and chatbot better refer to previous conversations and remember things about you. This means that it goes beyond what you like and dislike, but if you discuss things, it can also bring past points or items into the current power.
Of course, not everyone may be on board with this memory feature, so it is opt-in. Openai’s second solution is a temporary condition that ensures that AI does not add the information in the story.
3. We reviewed Samsung Galaxy Watch Fe
This week we finally tested the Samsung Galaxy Watch Fe and it is the most confusing smartwatch we’ve been testing – especially since the much better Galaxy Watch 6 still exists.
Samsung Galaxy Watch FE is meant to be Samsung’s response to Apple Watch SE. Still, Samsung has failed to emulate his rival, and the result left us “confused.”
Whether it is sluggish performance, poor battery life or a disappointing design, unless you choose this smartwatch to literally $ 100/£ 100, you might as well choose a reduced Galaxy Watch 6 or Galaxy Watch 7.
2. Black mirror season 7 landed
Black Mirror Season 7 has landed on Netflix just in time for a weekend binge-watch. But is it something good and is the show’s first sequel ever worth your time?
We have ranked the latest episodes from the worst to the best, giving some pretty honest thoughts about what we were doing from this rate. There are also high, low and big surprises, and we have predicted that this season will seriously share fans as it is something of a mixed bag – although it may be expected from an anthology series.
All six episodes with Black Mirror Season 7 Streamer on Netflix now with all the previous seasons. Check out our streaming coverage for even more from the much -loved anthologisow.
1. Pico gave us new VR MOTION TRACKERS
The Pico 4 Ultra may not be the best VR Headset out there, but a way it draws Meta Quest 3 is its movement trackers, which have enabled it to bring accurate and easy footprint to supported VR games.
Now Pico has launched a new version you can carry around your waist to create a more full body setup that sounds perfect for VR dance. Best of all, it costs only £ 39.99 (about $ 50 / AU $ 85).
We have not been able to test the tracker for ourselves, but given where impressive footprints were under our Pico 4 Ultra Review, we expect Pico’s new Waist Trackers to be solid when used in supported titles such as VRCAT and compatible PCVR titles through the Pico Connect feature.
