7. Apple set a date for WWDC 2025
It has been an interesting couple of weeks for Apple with several new products and an official delay to AI-Innused Siri, but this week we got office data for the 2025 World Wide Developers Conference.
More commonly referred to as WWDC 25, Apple’s week’s long conference, where it usually debuts its next generation’s platforms, and software starts on June 9, 2025. As we’ve come to expect, Apple will host a ‘special event’ on day one, which will be the main key of the week.
It is safe to expect Apple’s CEO Tim Cook, many other managers and product leads to showing all the new features and operating systems. We expect iOS 19, iPados 19, the next version of MacOS, Watchos, Tvos and the software that operates AirPods and HomePod.
6. Avengers Overall for Judgment Day
After teasing a major announcement, Marvel has revealed the entire 27-strong role crew for Avengers: Doomsday, and it’s full of heroes, including well-known MCU Avengers as Anthony Mackie as Captain America, Latitia Wright as Black Panther, Paul Rudd as Ant-Man, and Simu Liu as Shang-Chi, as well as some soon to be to be to some time as well as some to be to the case as well as some to be to the whole to be to be completely to some to be to some. The hero’s amazing Fours Ebon Moss-Bach (Tinget), Things), which starts to start in amazing four ‘Ebon Pascal (Mr. Fantastic), Vanessa Kirby (Invisible Woman) Joseph Quinn (Human Torch). Oh, and Robert Downey Jr. Like Doctor Doom.
There were also a few surprises, such as Tom Hiddleston, who returned as Loki, Lewis Pullman as Sentry, and Tenoch Huerta Mejia as Namor – the latter of which was created as antagonists, the last time we saw them in Thunderbolt’s* trailer and Wakanda forever.
And then some big shocks like Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, James Marsden, Kelsey Grammer, Channing Tatum, Alan Cumming and Rebecca Romijn-and all will recreate their roles as mutants from the X-Men universe. Their recording and some lighting have led to many wondering that the film may adapt to Avengers VS X-Men story.
There were plenty of absent Avengers – including these 17, we will mostly see – but Marvel has said, “There is always room for more,” as an answer to a post on RDJ’s Instagram that suggests that the movie may be even more packed than it already is.
5. We tested Canon PowerShot V1
Canon confirmed the global availability of its PowerShot V1 Vlogging Compact Camera, which was only announced last month to Japan, along with revealing the new EOS R50 V and we had already had our hands on V1 ahead of the message.
We expect PowerShot V1 to exceed the few rivals it has for video: Sony ZV-1 II, DJI Osmo-pocket 3 and Canon’s own PowerShot G7X Mark III, mainly because it packs a larger 1.4-inch sensor, reliable autofocus, decent optical stabilization, along with a suite with a suite with video features that include a built-in nd Cool the environment for unlimited 4K.
However, V1 is not perfect and we have identified a few disadvantages in hands-on time. All said, our first impression is very favorable and this is one of the best vlogging cameras for beginners. You can learn more in our practical review.
4. Netflix added HDR10+ support
This week, Netflix announced that it adds support to HDR10+ Advanced HDR format supported by Samsung, Panasonic, Hisense and TCL TVs.
You need a Netflix Premium account to access HDR10+. Netflix said it will originally be available on 50% of “eligible viewing times”, but it plans to have HDR10+ support on each HDR movie and appears before the end of the year.
This is good news for owners of the best Samsung -TVs and best Samsung phones because they do not support Dolby Vision HDR -the only premium -tv brand that does not.
HDR10+ and DOLBY VISION are superior to regular HDR (officially called HDR10) because they can support a wider dynamic range to make the most of today’s lighter and bold TVs, but they can also integrate stage-for-scene tone-mapping-what means that instead of your TV working, This information included in the video stream.
Basically, your supported Netflix content should look much better now on Samsung screens.
3. Openai revealed image generation to 4o
This week, Openai locked up photo generation in Chatgpt that promises more convenience (because it is baked into the app instead of being its own things) and better results than the other AI image generators out there,
In Demo, the open AI -Team text showed text that is actually legible and not a strange jumble of scribbles, making the tool ideal for creating infographics, and it can generate a photo from a photo you give as context, not only from a written prompt.
However, it is already getting into trouble as people ask AI to convert their images to the distinct aesthetics in South Park, Spongebob and Studio Ghibli movie.
The results are undeniably impressive, but not only continues to raise concerns about AI taking the livelihoods of artists, but it also makes many of us ask the question of how Chatgpt knows what ‘Studio Ghibli’ and these other properties’ styles look as it suggests it has been trained on copyrighted material.
Maybe in response to this criticism, we have found that it is now much harder to make chatgpt copy an artist’s style directly-it now refuses and creates several generic-looking works instead.
