Money no object
We love to give practical purchase advice on the latest gadgets here at Techradar. But sometimes what we love ourselves more is to pamper with the most advanced, groundbreaking, luxurious tech on the planet. That’s what we bring you in this money no object columns – you can read the whole series here.
Fighting to sleep? Maybe you have to invest in a new bed, friend. And if you’ve never thought about adding some sleep -specific (or at least Sunday cooling specific) stereo speakers to set yourself up for the best closure of your life, well … maybe you should.
Look, it’s not every day you see one very High-end bed with some very High-end speakers built-in. But that’s what you look at here.
I only have to look at Seventy Five, a collaboration between sound specialist Kef and Savoir, a British bedding since 1905, to feel a little more relaxed about life. That is, until I see the price …
Rest is the sweet sauce of labor
Imagine the 10 hand-excavated panels that gently curve around your crown and discreetly houses two glorious CI3160RFM, THX Ultra-certified KEF speakers. Don’t worry, they are pulled in right because they are located in the penultimate panels around the bed, aren’t they?
Why do this creation call the seventy -seven? Because it has long been considered the ideal number of beats per Minute that a musical track should have to help you relax.
Music is the answer
Kef’s magnetic removable grid allows you to hide or reveal the speakers in your ambitions, but I’m sure you want to know what you get in the first place – because Kef is doing some of the best stereo speakers we’ve had the pleasure of testing.
At the core of each speaker within the seventy-seven lies KEF’s 12-generation signature driver’s array, UNI-Q (proprietary tech found in all kef stereo speakers, which you can read more about in our KEF LSX II LT review).
However, the sound system here is completed with six (yes, six) Kef Kube 8b -Subwoofers, discreetly installed at the bottom of the bed. These subwoofers have KEF’s IBX technology to expand the bass depth, but make no mistakes, I-bed’s amplifiers, drivers and sealed cabinets are all on board here-a sound system selected and set by Kef’s team in Maidstone, UK.

And then in bed
What about the bit you’re sleeping on? If you expect you have read about Savoir in Techradar’s digital pages before today, you’re not wrong; Marked in our 7 most expensive mattresses in the world article not so long ago.
But this is expensive with extra expensive KEF speakers. Savoir tells me that its London Bedworks invest over 150 hours of craftsmanship in the seventy five to deliver “a masterpiece of sleeping comfort”. And while you get music, no headphones or wires are needed – Savoir’s team has also put wireless charging ports in beds side tables so your devices can turn on when driving off.
Ready for some prices? OK. But maybe sitting down. Remember, this is a piece of furniture designed for how people actually use their bedrooms today: reading, listening, seeing, running … and it’s an investment.
In the US, they cost twenty -five you from $ 68,605 for a king; In the UK it’s £ 51,385 for a super king (because bed sizes are actually different across the pond). Maybe one for the apartment in St. Barts …
