IHC disposes of tax cases worth RS600B

Islamabad:

Islamabad High Court (IHC) has disposed of tax cases worth more than RS600 billion and canceled the residence order in the last two months.

A special division bench consisting of Justice Muhammad Azam Khan and Justice Inaam Ameen Minhas, which disposed of tax cases worth RS424 billion, a report said Tuesday.

On the instructions of functioning Chief Justice Sarfraz Dogar, a special division bench was created to dispose of tax and income cases quickly.

Justice Babar Sattar and Justice Sardar Ejaz Ishaq Khan disposed of 94 tax recovery cases worth RS150 billion.

Working Chief Justice Sarfaraz Dogar and Justice Inaam Ameen Minhas lifted the Taxation Worder in tax cases worth RS36 billion.

Justice Dogar has issued instructions for rapid disposal of tax cases. The special division bench created to dispose of tax cases completed the hearing of 173 cases in two months and handed down his verdict.

Justice Muhammad Azam Khan and Justice Inaam Ameen Minhas have heard 20 cases this year.
