Islamabad High Court (IHC) has issued announcements of advance task to the federal government, Prime Minister and President of the Delay of appointing Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) and two election commissions in Pakistan (ECP) members.

The messages were issued after a petition filed by opposition leaders Omar Ayub and Shibli Faraz, who challenged the delay in filling the crucial attitudes.

The case was heard by Justice Muhammad Azam Khan, who also directed messages to the CEC and ECP members.

Service’s lawyer Sameer Khosa claimed that the CEC and ECP members continue to earn despite the expiry of their terms, which he claimed violate constitutional provisions.

The court asked if the appointment process had begun as Khosa responded to the fact that the parliamentary committee responsible for the process has not yet been formed.

The court has sought a response from all affected parties and postponed the hearing until April 29. The delay in appointing election officials has raised concerns about the function of the ECP, especially in the construction of future elections.
