IHC refuses to stay at Afghan Repatriation

Islamabad:

Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Thursday rejected a request that sought a residence order against repatriation of registered Afghan refugees and noted that the Court will not interfere with government policy.

Justice Inaam Ameen Minhas heard the case. Umar Ijaz Gilani appeared in court on behalf of the petitioner and requested the court to order the government to refrain from intervening until the case is decided.

Justice Minhas noted that Afghans have to return home by June 30 according to government policy and added that the court will not interfere in government policy.

Later, the court postponed the hearing of the case.
