EXCLUSIVE: Rep. Mary Miller, R-Aill., Called on President Donald Trump’s administration to intervene against her state.
In a letter obtained by Pakinomist Digital addressed to the Department of Education and Justice, Miller pleaded for the agencies to investigate after the Illinois High School Association (IHSA) said it would continue to allow trans athletes to compete in girls’ sports.
I am writing to express my deep concern about a recent decision by the Illinois High School Association (IHSA), which has chosen to openly disregard federal law and reject basic biological reality by giving biological men the opportunity to compete in girls’ athletic programs. Not only does this wrong policy undermine the integrity and justice of girls’ sports, but it is also at risk of getting the security of young women across our state, ”Miller wrote.
“I respectfully urge the Ministry of Justice and the Department of Education to investigate IHSA’s actions and the state of Illinois and take appropriate measures to ensure that federal civil rights protection is maintained.”

Miller made a statement to Pakinomist Digital who addressed the letter and condemned head of government JB Pritzker.
I urge Attorney General Pam Bondi and Secretary Linda McMahon to start an immediate investigation by IHSA and the state of Illinois. Gov. JB Pritzker and Radical Illinois Democrats need to be held responsible for enforcing abuse, said Miller, anti-science policies in our death safety and Fairness of Girls’ sports, “Miller said.
Transgender athletes have been allowed to compete in girls’ sports in Illinois since 2011.
Illinois became one of the many blue states that openly defies Trump’s “Keeping Men Out of Women’s Sports” executive order after it was signed on February 5th.
In a public letter to state GOP legislators last week, IHSA said Illinois Attorney General Kwame Raoul and the Illinois Department of Human Rights have declared that the state law requires transking athletes to be allowed to participate on the basis of gender identity. IHSA cited the state’s human rights legislation as a barrier to banning biological men from girls’ sports.
This letter came in response to GOP legislators who sent their own letter to IHSA in March and asked what the body would do to change the policy after Trump’s executive order adopted.

“The Illinois High School Association has crossed a dangerous line. In the event of an obvious violation of federal law and rejection of biological reality, they are not only undermined fairness in girls’ sports – they put the security of young women,” Miller told Pakinomist Digital.
A federal title IX study is already underway in Illinois after a Deerfield mother claimed her daughter was forced to change in front of a trans student. Deerfield Public Schools District 109 is facing a probe of the United States Department of Education Office of Civil Rights after Illinois -Mother Nicole Georgas brought light to the situation.
Georgas has now told Pakinomist Digital that she is also concerned about her daughter’s athletic future because of IHSA’s decision.
“Imagine your daughter, dedication of her life, training for years, hours and hours a week, to her championship state, only to meet a man who beats her and won the coveted scholarship. How is it at all fair? Our daughter’s dedication to athletics is slowly deleted,” Georgas said.
Deerfield Public Schools District 109 responded to the investigation in a statement to Pakinomist Digital and, like IHSA Illinois Human Rights Act, quoted its protocols.
“Deerfield Public Schools District 109 complies with state legislation. Illinois Human Rights Act forbids all Public school districts From discriminating on the basis of sex, including gender identity, and mandates, students should have access to the dressing room and bathroom that comply with their gender identity, “the statement states.
Meanwhile, Maine has already seen the type of intervention that Miller calls for.
This state has seen its federal funding cut by the US Department of Agriculture and Ministry of Justice has launched a lawsuit against it for continued tross over Trump’s order. Maine has launched her own lawsuit against the Trump administration over the financing freezing, and a federal judge has decided that it is fragile.
