ISLAMABAD:
An International Monetary Fund (IMF) team will arrive in Pakistan on Wednesday (today) to begin discussions on the third economic review under the Extended Fund Facility (EFF) programme, focusing on fiscal performance, structural reforms and compliance with agreed policy conditionality.
According to finance ministry officials, the IMF audit mission will stay in Pakistan until March 11 to evaluate economic indicators and review progress under the loan agreement. They said the first phase of talks will take place in Karachi, followed by detailed talks in Islamabad.
