Former Prime Minister Imran Khan and his wife Bushra Bibi Fast without being delivered meals to Sehri and Iftar, PTI’s lawyer Saif claimed on Tuesday.
Barrister Saif, adviser to Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa chief minister, claimed the couple was denied food while observing Ramadan-Fast.
He said the restriction of meetings with the PTI founder caused distress among party workers and was an “obvious violation” of court orders.
The provincial helper accused the government of resorting to “small tactics”, which caused a broad concern among the public.
Earlier, the party accused the government of placing Imran Khan in solitary confinement in Adiala prison and claimed he will be held in the death cell of the prison.
The party’s central secretary of information, Sheikh Waqas, made the claims during a press conference and said that Imran Khan had been denied any visitors, including political allies and family members.
Sheikh Waqas emphasized that Imran Khan is entitled to meetings with his legal adviser and family.
However, he claimed that even these rights were blocked. He also claimed that despite a court decision allowing six people to meet Khan, the authorities had not allowed the meetings to take place.
“The orders of the court are disregarded. Even Imran Khan’s wife has been denied meetings with him twice and no explanation is given, ”Waqas said.
