Imran distances himself from social media propagandists

ISLAMABAD:

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf founder Imran Khan distanced himself from all social media accounts involved in propaganda against Arab countries, his wife Bushra Bibi and the party’s martyrs, his lawyer Faisal Chaudhry said on Wednesday.

Speaking to reporters after a meeting with the PTI founder in Adiala Jail, Chaudhry said Imran condemned that propaganda and made it clear that everyone involved in it had no relation whatsoever to the PTI.

“Imran Khan condemned propaganda regarding Arab countries on social media,” Chaudhry said. “Imran Khan expressed his dissociation from these social media accounts that propagated against Bushra Bibi and the martyrs.”

Chaudhry revealed that the PTI founder had formed a committee headed by Qazi Anwar to look into the party’s missing person issue and complete its report by Sunday. He said Imran had directed the party to work on the issue of missing persons.

Responding to a question about not allowing the PTI’s talks to meet with the party’s founder, Chaudhry said the move was tantamount to sabotaging the talks.
