Imran has not authorized agreement negotiations: Gohar

Islamabad:

Former Prime Minister Imran Khan has not authorized any leader of his party to hold conversations with the powers that are for any “deal,” said PTI chairman Gohar Ali Khan while talking to the media after a meeting with IMRAN in Rawalpindis Adiala prison.

Last week, senior PTI leader Azam Khan Swati had said he would work to initiate dialogue between Imran Khan and the army chief Syed Asim Munir.

He had emphasized the meaning of the military and called it “an important national institution and a source of pride.” He had denied proposals that his release came as part of any agreement, maintaining that his loyalty to Imran Khan remained “not -shaking.”

However, PTI had distanced itself from reports, suggesting that Azam Swati was involved in conversations with the military business.

In a speech with the media in Lahore, PTI General Salman Salman Akram Raja said on April 12 that such actions were not sanctioned by party leadership.

However, SWATI claimed again on Tuesday that Imran Khan had agreed to hold negotiations. In a speech with journalists outside an anti-terrorism in Lahore, Swati said Imran Khan is deeply concerned about the country’s future and welfare for future generations.

Gohar Ali Khan, however, said Tuesday that IMRAN Khan has not authorized anyone to negotiate “an agreement”. According to Gohar, the PTI founder, during the meeting, also strictly instructed his party leaders not to make any statement against the leader of any other party in the media. Khan complained that the Adiala prison authorities continued to flow Islamabad High Court (IHC) order with regard to IMRAN’s visiting rights.
