Former prime minister and founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan has ended talks with the government over its failure to form a judicial commission within the agreed seven-day time frame, according to PTI chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan.
PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar told reporters after a jail meeting that Khan decided to stop the talks as the government remains inactive on forming commissions related to the May 9 and November 26 events.
“The government promised to form a commission within seven days but failed to deliver,” Gohar said.
Meanwhile, Rana Sanaullah, an adviser to the prime minister, stated that the government’s negotiating team would soon give a written response to PTI’s demands.
Opposition leader Omar Ayub Khan had also warned that without concrete action by the commission, further negotiations would be futile.
