Imran warns against lowering after India ceasefire

Rawalpindi:

PTI founder Imran Khan has warned of a potentially fresh attack by India and emphasized the need for the armed forces to remain vigilant in the wake of escalating regional tensions.

The former Prime Minister conveyed this message during a rare encounter with his sisters, including Aleema Khan, who was allowed to see him after eight weeks.

In a speech with the media after the meeting on Tuesday, Aleema said IMRAN was concerned that Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, whom he described as someone who hates Pakistan, can act carelessly in anger.

“In war is 60 percent of the game mental. I fear that Modi could act again,” she quoted her brother to say.

Aleema added that Imran discussed the broader national mood and said that “the population of Pakistan is very happy” but also emphasized the importance of rapid reactions in conflict times. He said a “false flag surgery” had been performed in Indian -occupied Kashmir.

During the meeting, Imran also aimed at the 26th constitutional change and called it the “burial of the rule of law” and a mechanism to legitimize trying civilians by military courts. “The independence of the court has been rolled back,” he said reportedly, adding that public support was crucial during wartime.

Aleema said her brother also questioned the party’s relatively muted answers to military litigation and asked why PTI had not taken a stronger attitude.

“His priority is the movement,” she said. “As for Junaid Akbar [who resigned as PAC chairman]he said it was up to him to decide what position he wanted. “

“My priority is the movement, not pac,” she also quoted him.

The former Prime Minister also questioned the absence of CCTV recordings from the events on May 9.
