Rawalpindi:
Pakistan Tehreek-E-Insaf (PTI) Foundation President and former Prime Minister Imran Khan has written another “open letter” to the chief master (Coas) Gen Asim Munir, who expresses concern about “extended gap between the military and the public” while claiming serious violations of rights under his prison.
The letter, shared via its official Twitter grip on Saturday, accuses the authorities of rigging rigging, judicial manipulation and political victim.
The fresh letter repeated the first, written to the COAs on February 3rd and claimed a growing distance between the military and the people. However, security sources maintained that the military had not received the letter and rejected media reports of its existence.
On Saturday, Imran declared that he had written the previous letter with “good intentions to improve the country and the nation so that the growing gap between the army and the people could be reduced day by day”. However, he complained that the answer was given with “extreme junk and irresponsibility”.
“As a former prime minister and leader of Pakistan’s greatest political party, I have dedicated my life to earning this country. My 55-year-old public life since 1970 and 30 years of earnings are ahead of all. My life and death are exclusively for Pakistan. I am Only concerned about the image of our military and the consequences of the growing interruption between the army and the people for whom I have written this letter, “Imran said.
He said that if public opinion was sought on the six points he had highlighted earlier, 90% of the population would support them.
Imran claimed that intelligence agencies rigged elections to install a puppet government, that the 26th change was “forced through the” parliament to gun to control the judiciary and that “pocket judges” were appointed to serve interests.
He also claimed that dissent was suppressed through “Drakonian laws” such as PECA, economic instability was driven by “political interference” and that a “state -supported crash” on PTI was underway where institutions were abused for political technique.
He warned that such actions not only harm the public mood, but also continuously expanded the gap between the people and the military.
In his letter, the former premier also complained about alleged abuse in prison.
“Prison administration-Has made me any injustice to increase the pressure of me while I violated basic human rights. I have been held in a death cell. I was held in complete lock-up for 20 days when even sunlight did not reach me.
“For five days the electricity in my cell was turned off and I was in complete darkness. My training equipment and TV were taken away and I wasn’t even allowed to have newspapers. They even withhold books when they want. Except for these 20 Days I was held again in lock-up for 40 hours.
The former prime minister also claimed that intense pressure was being exerted on the judges to judge him and his wife, referring to an incident where a judge’s blood pressure spiked five times due to stress required hospitalization.
He also said that in four cases he has illegally been convicted and strengthened his belief that the justice system became weapons against him.
In concluding his letter, Imran said: “It is important to the country’s stability and security that the gap between the army and the people is reduced, and there is only one way to reduce this growing gap and it is for the army to return to its constitutional borders , differ from politics and fulfill its assigned responsibility, and this task must be performed by the army itself, otherwise this growing gap will become error lines in terms of national security. “
