- GTA 5 Gets a free PC upgrade in March that adds previously released PS5 and Xbox Series X features
- The update adds GTA online Features, improved graphics, beam gear functions and more
- New minimum and recommended specifications have been shared prior to its release
Rockstar Games has announced that a free PC upgrade to Grand Theft Auto 5 Will be released next month adding PS5, Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S features.
The study shared the details of a new blog post confirming that the update will be available on March 4th and have features previously only available in the conservation versions of Gta Online.
These include the latest vehicles and performance upgrades on Hao’s special works, expensive meetings, GTA+ membership access, as well as improved graphics, radiation tracking features, faster load times, double-sense wireless controller support and more.
The upgraded version of the game will also contain the latest player improvements to GTA onlinethat includes nuclear-based anti-cheat protection and proactive voice charter moderation.
Players who download the free upgrade also have the opportunity to migrate their history feature and online progress.
With the addition of features such as surrounding occlusion, global lighting, radiation -tracked shadows and reflections as well as NVIDIA DLSS 3, AMD FSR1 and FSR3 Support, the new and improved version of GTA 5 also means that PC specifications are changing.

Rockstar confirmed that support to the previous version of GTA 5 Continuing for players if hardware does not meet the minimum requirements.
But for the original version of GTA onlinePlayers who remain on the previous version will not be able to play in online sessions with those with the upgraded patch.
“PC players who want to play with each other will have to make sure they play the same version of the game,” Rockstar said. “Both versions will be available to anyone upgraded – and first -time buyers will also have access to both versions.”
The upcoming patch is coming as we eagerly wait for the release of Grand Theft Auto 6which is planned released in the fall of 2025 for PS5, Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S. Unfortunately, just as GTA 5A PC version arrives later; Reportedly at the beginning of 2026.
